Learning from Others
It's cold in my house. My body wakes me up at 6:30 but I wish it had at 7:30. I want to do push ups so I adopt an opportunistic mindset instead of a scarcity mindset. I don’t tell myself: I need to workout to get a better body. Although this may be true, it discourages me and acknowledges I do not yet have a body to be proud of. Instead I tell myself I’m taking steps in the right direction toward being healthier. Everyone should want that for themselves. A lot can be learned from those around you. They will have a major impact on what you determine life to be. What I want you to realize is you’re the only person who can determine how your overall life ends up. Take this responsibility and flourish to the best of your ability.
How will you listen to others? When someone has an idea or philosophy you really identify with, write it down! You have been gifted with the chance of life. Do not waste it! I think you might find it fascinating to see what type of information resonated with you in the past: and compare it to the present. Just don’t get too caught up in the past, as everything has already happened. You cannot go back into time, unless that has somehow been invented. Then, I will continue to eat my words.
